Coaching Courses organised by Footy 4 U in collaboration with Premier Skills

Footy 4 U in collaboration with Premier Skills will be organising two coaching courses over the next two weekends.

The Level 1 Coach Education course will be held on Saturday 14th July between 09:00 and 16:00 while the Level 2 Coach Education course will be held on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July between 09:00 and 16:00. Both courses will be held at the Luxol Sports Club.

The fee for the Level 1 course is €40 while that for the Level 2 course is €60. For those pre-booking the two courses, the fee would be €80.

For those who attended last year’s Level 1, you can attend this year’s for FREE before the Level 2!

The Practice Play – Level 1 course provides the much needed introduction to quality grass roots coaching. This course demonstrates to the coach how to develop skill and individualism in young players through realistic practices. The coach will learn how to effectively utilise sessions spent with young players by using practices that maximise the learning time available.

What will the course cover?

• Understanding and exploiting time and space
• Passing and receiving
• Passing qualities
• First touch and movement variations

This course also develops the coach’s foundation knowledge in:
• Session preparation
• Session delivery
• Session evaluation
• Player assessment
• Health and safety in coaching

Practice Play – Level 2 advances and develops the methodology used in Level 1. Level 2 demonstrates in a cleverly constructed progression how to maximise and further develop the young player’s skill and game understanding. In Level 2 the participant learns how to link the individualism of the young player with fellow players.
