Balzan FC terminated the contract of team manager Ivan Zammit and coach Joe Borg after the disappointing 0-3 defeat to Rabat Ajax on Monday.

In a statement on the club’s official website, the club said that the first team is now under the reasonability of UEFA A Licenced coach Riccardo Tumiatti assisted by Silvan Ciscaldi.

Tumiatti joined the club last January, signing a three-year deal as Balzan FC Nursery Technical Director.

Ivan Zammit had joined Balzan in season 2008/09 in the Second Division as player-coach leading the team to promotion. In Division 1, he lead Balzan Youths as team manager, winning promotion at the end of season 2010/11.

Riccardo Tumiatti coached youth teams within the AC Milan youth sector apart from other clubs including Chievo and Verona. At Pro Sesto and Gubbio, He was the Director of the Academy.

Silvan Ciscaldi, who played for Balzan until last season, is the Head Coach of the Balzan FC Nursery.
