Nine Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the BOV Premier League matches which were played between Saturday and Wednesday.
Bledjon Guga and David Camilleri (Hamrun), Mario Muscat and Jean Paul Farrugia (Hibs), Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho (Melita), Luke Sciberras (Qormi), Dylan Falzon (Rabat), Jason Vandelannoite and Jonathan Caruana (Valletta) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.
Vandelannoite and Caruana will miss Valletta’s clash with Mosta on Saturday while Muscat and Farrugia are ruled out for Hibernians in the derby with Tarxien on Sunday. Hamrun could not count on Guga and Camilleri for the Relegation Pool clash with Balzan while Sierra Camacho misses the game against Floriana. Sciberras and Falzon are ruled out of Qormi vs Rabat.
Meanwhile in Division 2, Bronwen Bugeja (Kirkop), Philip Taylor (Mellieha), Stacey Vella (Msida) and Omar Rababah (Zebbug) were banned for one match while Owen Tabone (Attard), Ludvic Fardell (Ghaxaq), Jacob Camilleri (Kalkara), Mario Bajada and Nazzareno Abela (Marsaskala), Luke Portelli (Mtarfa), Jurgen Muscat (Qrendi), Matthew Bonnici (Swieqi), Mark Sammut (Ta’ Xbiex), Darren Galea and Roderick Camilleri (Xghajra) were suspended for one match in Division 3.
