Sirens moved back three points clear on top the BOV Third Division table as they defeated Kalkara 2-0 in one of the two matches in programme on Monday.

Ryan Sciberras and Ricardo Severino Goncalves scored the goals for the St. Paul’s Bay side.

In another match, Luqa St. Andrew’s defeated Ta’ Xbiex 6-1 to move joint-third.

Justin Muscat was the hero for Luqa with four of the goals on the 6th, 16th, 37th and 75th. Greg Marney and Charlie Camilleri scored the other two goals on 68 and 81 minutes. Pedro Lemos scored the only goal for Ta’ Xbiex on 21 minutes.

Sirens lead the way with 19 points, followed by Santa Lucia on 16, Swieqi and Luqa 15, Sta. Venera and Attard 13, Ghaxaq 12, Mgarr 10, Xghajra 9, Mtarfa 7, Qrendi 4, Kalkara and Ta’ Xbiex 1 and Marsaxlokk -3.
