Naxxar Lions’ Brazilian striker Gilmar Ribeiro da Silva was voted the BOV Player of the Month for December 2013.

Gilmar has distinguished himself for his lightning pace and sublime touches that torment the opponents’ defence. Naxxar’s victory over Valletta was one of his outstanding matches that enabled him to clinch his second personal award of this football season.

The current BOV Premier League seems to provide excellent conditions for Brazilian players who have claimed four out of five BOV Player of the Month Awards this season, with Gilmar claiming two of these awards.

Tanya Camilleri, Manager at Bank of Valletta’s Naxxar Branch presented the BOV Player of the Month Award to Gilmar Ribeiro Da Silva during one of Naxxar Lion’s training sessions. Gilmar selected Dar Familja Mqaddsa in Naxxar to benefit from the cash donation linked to this award.
