Birzebbuga St. Peter's demand permission to change name of first team

birzebbugaFirst Division side Birzebbuga St. Peter’s have written to the association requesting the permission to change the name of the first team following an investment in the form of a twinning agreement with Milan-based Brera Calcio.

The club wants to change the name of the senior team to Brera Birzebbuga St. Peter’s.

The Executive Committee will be discussing the issue in the coming weeks.

Brera Calcio is a club focussed mainly on youth football and in fact they run the team for Brescia in the Campionato Berretti – a youth league reserved for players under the age of nineteen. Their senior team participates in the Seconda Categoria of the league organised by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti.
