Eight Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.
Osa Ice-Cream Guobadia and Justin Grioli (Balzan), Rafael Ledesma (Birkirkara), Brooke Farrugia (Floriana), Zoran Levnaic (Qormi) and Andrea Pisanu (Sliema) were suspended after being sent off or after receiving a fourth yellow card. On the other hand, Dylan Agius (Pietà) and Gilmore Azzopardi (Qormi) did not have a valid medical certificate.
Guobadia and Grioli will miss the game against leaders Hibernians, Ledesma and Farrugia the clash between Birkirkara and Floriana, Levnaic, Azzopardi and Agius the game between Pietà and Qormi and Pisanu the clash with Naxxar.
Qormi president Redeno Apap was banned for two matches.
In Division 1, Gudja United team manager Alan Mifsud and Melita coach Neil Zarb Cousin were suspended for two matches while Raimi Bakare was handed a one-match ban.
Emanuel Cutajar (Ghaxaq) was suspended for three matches in Division 2 while Christian Magro (Senglea), Mark Camilleri (Siggiewi), Kurt Pisani (Swieqi) and Josef Felice (Zejtun) were banned for one match. Dingli coach Roland Sollars was suspended for two matches.
In Division 3, Luke Magri (Mtarfa) was banned for six matches while Clint Caruana and Cachel Vella (Mdina) were suspended for one match. Mtarfa coach Haruna Doda was suspended for three matches while team manager Bradley Borg was handed a two-match ban.
