Nadur Youngsters registered a most comfortable 8-1 win over Xaghra United in a match from the BOV Gozo Football League First Division at the Gozo Stadium on Sunday.
Marcelo Junior Barbosa opened the score on the 8th minute but Joshua Buttigieg equalised on the 31st. However Shaun Attard restored the lead on the 35th with Chris Camilleri and Marcelo Barbosa adding another two goals on the 38th and 39th. In the second half, Nadur scored another four goals thanks to Elkin Serrano on the 50th, Johan Alberto Castano on the 67th, Hugo Santa Rosa Cruz on the 70th and Shaun Attard on the 74th.
On Thursday, a brace by Njongo Priso gave SK Victoria Wanderers a 2-0 win over Gharb Rangers in a clash between the two bottom sides. Priso scored on the 64th and 90th.
Meanwhile in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, Oratory Youths dropped two precious points after being held in a 1-1 draw by St. Lawrence Spurs on Saturday.
Matias Camilleri Psaila put the Spurs ahead on the 33rd but Bartomeu Perello Palou equalised on the 61st.
In another match, Munxar Falcons and Zebbug Rovers shared the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 draw. Zebbug took the lead thanks to a goal by Lucas Farrugia on the 13th minute but Ayesller Carvalho scored three to turn the score in favour of Munxar – two penalties on the 19th and 36th and a goal on the 52nd. However despite having a player sent off Zebbug reduced the gap thanks to a Tiago Barbosa penalty with an own goal on the 83rd restoring the equilibrium.
