Gudja United secured the services of former Malta international striker Terence Vella. Vella therefore returns with the club he had started his career with.

Thirty-year old Terence Vella had in fact started his career at Gudja United and after joining Pieta Hotspurs, Mosta and Birkirkara on loan, moved to Birkirkara in summer 2011. While on the books of Birkirkara, he had spells on loan with Mosta, Hamrun Spartans, Naxxar Lions and Qormi. Mid-way through season 2016/17, he was transferred to Senglea Athletic and in summer 2018, he moved to Floriana where he spent the last two years.

Gudja United have earlier appointed Jesmond Zammit as their new coach and Vince Carbonaro as his assistant. They signed goalkeeper Jamie Azzopardi, Dale Camilleri, Goran Adamovic, Tensior Gusman and Augusto Rene Caseres and confirmed Aidan Friggieri, Jurgen Farrugia, Gabriel Mensah, Imanol Gonzalez Benac and Juan Andres Bolanos.
