Three-match ban for three Premier League players

Juan Bolanos Ramires (Gudja), Leandro Aguirre (Marsaxlokk) and Ivan Vaselinov Kolev (Sirens) were all handed a three-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Another ten players, namely Alex da Paixao Alves (Birkirkara), Emiliano Callegari (Floriana), James Arthur and Johann Bezzina (Gudja), Luke Tabone (Gzira), Thaylor Aldama (Hibs), Gianluca Sciberras (Mosta), Kian Leonardi and Daniel Zerafa (Pieta’) and Christian Gauci (Valletta) were suspended for one match.

Gzira United president Sharlon Pace was banned for two matches.

In the Challenge League, Christopher Baker (Melita), Geoffrey Acheampong (Sliema), Darren Falzon (Tarxien), Xylon Portelli, Jeremy Busuttil and Kurt Darmanin (Zurrieq), Bledi Alla and Luke Attard (Attard), McAllister Clinch (Lija), Ryan Fenech (Marsa), Allan da Silva Oliveira (Marsaskala), Gianluca Sultana (Mtarfa), Henrique Maciel de Souza (Qrendi), Santiago Martinez (St. Andrews), Sammy Elfarsi (Swieqi) and Lesley Cassar Jackson were all banned for one match.

Mqabba coach Goran Adamovic was banned for six matches while San Gwann official Malcolm Grech was suspended for one match.

On the other hand, in the Amateur League, Andrely Kouessabio Makela (Birzebbuga), Daniele Vittorio Marsala and Mohamed Kara (Dingli), Erik Pietribiasi (Gharghur), Emmanuel Cutajar (Ghaxaq), Lee James Agius (Luqa), Joseph Caruana and Zachary Tanti (Rabat), Andrea Mizzi, Kurt Magro and Irvin Abela (St. George’s) were all banned for one match together with Mdina official Marco Buttigieg.
