Branko Nisevic claims BOV Premier League Best Coach award in MFCA Awards

Branko Nisevic was voted as the best coach of the BOV Premier League for the 2022/23 season during the second edition of the MFCA Awards held at San Ġorġ Preca Secondary School in Hamrun.

Nisevic led Hamrun Spartans to the Premier League title apart from reaching the play-off stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Balzan coach Oliver Spiteri finished as runner-up in this category.

Meanwhile Paul Zammit won the award for best coach of the BOV Challenge League while Edgar Degabriele of Senglea Athletic was chosen the best IZIBET Amateur League coach.

Jose Borg of Birkirkara won the award for women’s football while former Nadur Youngsters coach Mark Buttigieg was selected as the best Gozitan coach. Sandro Zammit Fava of San Gwann was voted Head Coach of the Year while Simon Grech was voted Best Goalkeepers Coach.

Fr Hilary Tagliaferro was given the President’s Award for his long service in coaching.

Other awards were presented for coaches in the the Under-15, Under-17 and Youths categories.
