Two Premier League players suspended

Balzan defender Samir Arab and Hamrun Spartans midfielder Elionay Freitas da Silva were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

In the Challenge League, Brady Agius, Camilo del Castillo Escobar and Thomas Howland (Attard), Aidan Portelli (Luqa), Henrique Marcelino Motta (Melita), Mark Camilleri (Msida), Steven Meilak and Glenn Zammit (Senglea), Yanis Tonna (St. Andrews), Blessing Brafo (Swieqi), Jonathan Bajada (Tarxien), Hubert Vella (Zurrieq) and Anderson de Barros (Zurrieq) were all suspended for one match.

On the other hand, Kurt Borg (Mtarfa), Andrew Joseph Sant (Pembroke), Ryan Farrugia and Tyrone Grech (Siggiewi), Gilfred Gatt (Dingli), Carmelo Farrugia, Neil Friggieri and Michael Theuma (Kirkop), Dario Aquilina (Marsaskala) and Nigel Borg (Qormi) were all handed a one-match ban.

Rabat Ajax coach Paul Falzon was also banned for one match.
