The January transfer window closed on Friday with some clubs making some last-minute transfer in their bid to strengthen their squad.
Hamrun Spartans completed the signing of two players – Croatian midfielder Mihael Klepac and Albanian forward Redon Mihana.
Twenty-seven year old Klepac played for NK Osijek, NK Dugopolje, NK Varazdin and NK Rudes in Croatia, Zeljeznicar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, NK Aluminij and NS Mura in Slovenia, Yverdon Sport in Switzerland and OKMK Olmaliq in Uzbekistan while twenty-five year old Mihana was on the books of KF Laçi, KF Apolonia Fier, FK Dinamo, KF Egnatia, KS Kastrioti and KF Erzeni before joining Kapaz PFK in Azerbaijan last summer.
Birkirkara secured the services of Ivorian twenty-year old midfielder Larsson Coulibaly. Coulibaly joins the Stripes from Lazio after starting this season on loan with Mosta.
Hibernians signed twenty four year old midfielder Stanislav Sorokin. A product of Troyeschchyna Kyiv and Dynamo Kyiv, he also played for Kolos Kovalivka, Kremin Kremenchuk and PFC Lviv in Ukraine, FC Shevardeni 1906 in Georgia, DFK Dainava Alytus in Lithuania and FK Dordoi Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.
Sliema Wanderers completed the signing of Georgian twenty eight year old right back Tedo Kikabidze. Throughout his career, he had spells with Ostiamare and Anzio in Italy, FK Zugdidi and FC Samgurali Tskaltubo in Georgia.
Mosta signed Greek twenty two year old defender Konstantinos Lampsias. A product of Panionios, he had a spell with Terrassa FC in Spain but then played for Panathinaikos and PAS Giannina.
Zabbar St. Patrick signed Italian twenty one year old midfielder Antonio Pio Iervolino on loan from Salernitana. At youth level, he played for Inter, Novara, Imolese and Salernitana. He was then loaned by Salernitana to Vis Pesaro and Taranto.
Naxxar Lions secured the services of Jean Paul Farrugia and Venezuelan twenty year old forward Jhanluis Aron Hernandez Leal. Farrugia joins the Lions after playing for Hibernians, Sliema Wanderers, Birkirkara and Mosta apart from spells with Spartak Trnava in Slovakia and FC Chiasso in Switzerland while Jhanluis Hernandez moved to Malta from CD Lara of Venezuela in 2022 and since then played for Xewkija Tigers and Lija Athletic.
