Malta international defender Luke Tabone will be playing for National League North side Southport FC.

The twenty-seven year old agreed a one-year deal with Southport after playing for Haverfordwest County in Wales for the past two years. The club has an option for a further season.

A product of Nadur Youngsters, he had a spell with Burnley in England and spent two years at Gzira United.
