The Malta National ‘A’ Team will face Slovakia in an international friendly match in June, with the aim of testing themselves against strong opposition.
The match will take place on Monday 1st June 2026 at the DAC Aréna in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia, with the kick-off time set at 18:00hrs CET.
The encounter will come in the middle of a training camp, as the team prepares for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign, which will commence in September 2026. Malta will be competing in League D – Group 1, facing Gibraltar and Andorra.
In addition to the match against Slovakia, there will also be another international friendly match in June, with details on that fixture set to be announced in due course.
Head Coach Emilio De Leo will be using these two friendlies to assess player form and to further integrate players within the squad, ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign.
The match against Slovakia represents a great opportunity for the National Team to gain further international experience against tough opposition. Slovakia will be competing in League C – Group 3, where they will be facing the likes of Moldova, Kazakhstan and the Faroe Islands.
