Nine Premier League players suspended after final matches

Five players were handed a three-match ban and four others were suspended for one match by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after match-day 26 of the BOV Premier League.

Omar Elouni and Adailton Queiroz de Jesus of Birkirkara and Santa Lucia’s Steve Pisani, Carlos Gabriel Moreira de Oliveira and Evandro Gomes Pinto were all suspended for three matches while Lorenzo De Grazia (Floriana), Zachary Brincat and Gustavo Adolfo Chara Valois (Mosta) and Mattias Ellul (Santa Lucia) were banned for one match.

Birkirkara president Michael Valenzia was banned for two matches.

Meanwhile after the Challenge League relegation decider between Luqa St. Andrew’s and St. Andrews, Fabien Lufi (Luqa) was banned for three matches, Luke Anthony Borg (St. Andrews) for one and Luqa official Francis Zammit was suspended for two matches.
