Naxxar Lions moved on top the BOV First Division table as they defeated St. Andrews 4-0 in a direct clash between two of the challengers for promotion.

Andre Rocha da Silva converted a penalty on the 6th minute to put Naxxar ahead. Gilbert Camilleri doubled the score four minutes from half-time and ten minutes in the second half, Jurgen Debono made it 3-0. Andre Rocha da Silva sealed the issue with a fourth goal on 75 minutes.

Meanwhile Gudja United are now second as they beat Mqabba 3-0.

Kiril Aleksandrov put Gudja ahead on the half-hour and Karl Azzopardi doubled the score two minutes from the end of the first half. Ryan Sell sealed the issue with a third goal twelve minutes from time.

Naxxar lead the way with 19 points, followed by Gudja on 18 points, Pietà Hotspurs, Marsaxlokk and Lija Athletic on 17, St. Andrews 16, Vittoriosa 14, Zejtun 12, Gzira 10, Dingli 8, Birzebbuga and Mqabba 3.
