Following the participation of Director of Refereeing Adrian Casha and Assistant Referees’ Specialist Philip Agius in a Seminar for Elite Match Officials in Zeist last week, a collaboration agreement was agreed upon between the Malta FA and Dutch FA Referees’ Department.

Dutch FA Referees’ Instructor and Elite Referee Ed Janssen is in Malta to conduct Additional Assistant Referees’ Training for Maltese Match Officials. He has also been appointed for the BOV Premier League match, Floriana vs Qormi on Friday 3rd May at the Hibernians Stadium in Corradino, which he will analyse in a referees’ technical meeting on Saturday morning.

The collaboration agreement reached will enable Maltese match officials to officiate in the Netherlands. The first invitation is for an international youth tournament being held in The Hague between 31st May and 2nd June, for which the Malta FA has appointed Elite Referee Trustin Farrugia Cann and Elite Assistant Referee Luke Portelli.
