About one hundred girls taking part in Sunday’s Under-11 and Under-16 knock-out festival were given a flower intended to be presented to their mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
The girls were delighted and instinctively ran straight to their mothers who were watching the playing sessions. They presented the flowers to their mums while heartily wishing them a happy Mother’s Day.
It was a fine gesture and a fitting way for the girls to show appreciation to their mothers for supporting them in life and also for encouraging to play football.
Without the mothers’ constant assistance and patience, which also entails a lot of sacrifices when they take their daughters for training and to play matches in the various venues, such enjoyment for the girls would not have been possible.
All the mothers present were surprised at this gesture and especially with the words written ‘Thank you mummy for all you do for me and for supporting me to play football.’
Indeed, the activity organised by the MFA women’s department turned out to be another success from all aspects.
