Mosta FC announced that they have secured the services of former Valletta striker Ian Zammit and English midfielder Gary Roberts.

This will be the third spell for Ian Zammit with the Blues after spending season 2011/12 and the latter part of season 2013/14 on loan. A product of Valletta, playing time with the Citizens with whom he made his debut in season 2003/04, was restricted, especially in recent years.Apart from spending time on loan with Mosta, he had also a six-month spell with Hamrun Spartans in season 2009/10 and another six-month spell with Sliema Wanderers in season 2012/13.

Meanwhile for Gary Roberts, this will be his second club in Malta after playing for Floriana in season 2012/13 and the early part of season 2013/14. Then he moved to Wales where he played for Connah’s Quay in the Welsh Premier League. In the early days of his career, the twenty-seven year old midfielder had played for Crewe Alexandra, Yeovil Town, Rotherham United, Port Vale and Mansfield Town.
