Hibernians secured the services of Malta international defender Ferdinando Apap from Victoria Hotspurs. He signed a three-year deal with the Paolites.
A product of Ghajnsielem, Ferdinando Apap had a short spell with the Sliema Wanderers nursery before returning to Gozo where he made his senior team debut in season 2007/08. He moved to England to join Sheffield FC in season 2011/12 and on his return he joined Mosta where he had his first experience in the Premier League. The following season, he played for Xewkija Tigers and in 2014/15, he joined Victoria Hotspurs. He moved back to Ghajnsielem in season 2015/16 but re-joined Victoria Hotspurs two years later.
The twenty-six year old Ferdinando Apap played for the Malta Under-21 national team before making his senior team debut in May 2018 against Armenia.
