The Youth Football Association held its annual seminar on Saturday August 24th at The Palace Hotel, Sliema, during which themes affecting nursery coaches and administrators were discussed.

Following an introductory speech by YFA president Fr Hilary Tagliaferro during which he emphasised once again on the importance of values in football, Denise Chetcuti and Jareth Grima from Sedqa spoke about the YFA prevention programme.

Kurt Formosa from the MFA explained the recent tweaks to COMET in order to make the system more efficient. Those present had the opportunity to clarify any doubts regarding the system.

Assistant Director of Refereeing Andre Arciola delivered a presentation on the changes in the Laws of the Game.

The final speaker was Dr Montebello who spoke about footballers’ injuries.

Youth FA leagues will kick-off on September 7.
