Valletta signed Georgian thirty year old defensive midfielder Irakli Dzaria.

Dzaria started his career at Kolheti Poti and later played for FC Zestafoni, Tskhinivali, Dinamo Tbilisi, FC Dila and Sioni Bolnisi in Georgia and FK Kukesi in Albania

Ironically Dzaria scored the goal which eliminated Valletta from the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round last year against FK Kukesi.

This summer, Valletta signed Kevin Tulimieri, Douglas Packer and Yuri de Jesus Messias.
