After the international break during which the national team and Under-21 side were involved in the qualifying matches from the EURO 2020 and the UEFA Under-21 Championship, the BOV Premier League resumes this weekend with the first match scheduled for Friday evening at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 19:00, between Tarxien Rainbows and Hamrun Spartans.

Both teams seek their first win. The Rainbows suffered two defeats in their first two outings, losing 0-4 to Mosta and 1-4 to neighbours Hibernians. On the other hand, Hamrun Spartans earned two points in two draws, holding Gzira United in a goalless draw and being held in a 2-2 draw by Gudja United.
