Marsaxlokk joined Marsa and Mgarr United on top the BOV Second Division table thanks to a 5-0 win over Kalkara at the Luxol Stadium on Saturday.

Anthony Chimezie put Marsaxlokk ahead on the 39th minute and Keith Muscat doubled the score on the 45th. Ten minutes in the second half, Pablo Cesar Doffo converted a penalty to make it 3-0. Ryan Micallef scored a fourth goal on the hour and six minutes later, Doffo converted another penalty.

In another match, Luqa St. Andrew’s and Xghajra Tornados shared the spoils in a goalless draw.

Marsa, Marsaxlokk and Mgarr lead the way with 25 points, followed by Rabat on 24, San Gwann on 22, Melita 18, Kalkara and Zurrieq 17, Birzebbuga 14, Mellieha 12, Xghajra 9, Zabbar 7 and Luqa 6.
