Hibernians withdraw from women’s competitions

Hibernians FC have informed the Malta Football Association that they have withdrawn their teams from the BOV Women’s League and the Women’s Under-19 League.

Since both teams have already played more than half their matches, the remaining matches will be awarded as walk-overs to their opponents.

In the BOV Women’s League, Hibernians had collected one point in a draw with Mosta, losing the other nine matches while in the Women’s Under-19 League, Hibs registered two wins over Mtarfa and drew with Kirkop, losing the other eleven matches.

The Paolites won twelve championships, five Knock-Out Competitions and seven Super Cups.

  1. Pity. What happened to the most successful team in Malta’s women football? I Think without them
    the league won’t survive.
