Tarxien Rainbows announced that they had accepted the resignation of coach Winston Muscat and his assistant Adrian Buttigieg following a meeting between the two parties.

Muscat and Buttigieg tendered their resignation following the heavy 0-7 defeat to Santa Lucia on Saturday.

The club announced that work had started in order to appoint a new head coach.

Tarxien are currently third from bottom.
