Santa Lucia secured the services of Malta international midfielder Dexter Xuereb from Gzira United.

A product of Mosta, Xuereb, who is now twenty three years old, made his Premier League debut in season 2014/15. He moved to Gzira United in January 2020.

This summer, the team led by Oliver Spiteri signed Jurgen Pisani, Vito Plut, Patrick Silva Mota, Francisco Eliomar Rodrigues Farias, better known as Leo Bahia, St. Kitts and Nevis international goalkeeper Julani Archibald and promising youngsters Jamie Carbone, Matthias Vella, Jan Tanti and Emerson Camilleri.
