Malta international defender Steve Borg is officially a Hamrun Spartans player.

A product of Mosta, Steve Borg, who is now 33 years old, made his Premier League debut in season 2005/06. He was transferred to Valletta in 2009, winning three Premier League titles, two FA Trophies and three Super Cups with the Citizens. In summer 2015, he joined Aris Limassol in Cyprus, helping them retain their top division status. Borg moved back to Malta in 2016, spending the last four years with Valletta. With Valletta, he went on to win another two leagues, an FA Trophy and three Super Cups. He moved to Gzira United in summer 2020.
