The Malta FA announced the appointment of Marco Casarsa as the Malta Beach Soccer coach.
In his career Mr. Casarsa has won the Beach Soccer European Championship in 2005, he is also three times winner of the Italian Championship between 2006 and 2010.
In total 61 caps for Mr. Casarsa representing the Italian Beach Soccer Team.

Talking about this latest appointment Malta FA President Bjorn Vassallo said: “The Malta FA has been longing to better establish the Beach Soccer National Team in order to engage in international participation.
Vassallo added, “This appointment will clearly pave the way to raise the standards and represent our country in profile competitions in Beach Soccer, a sport that is rapidly growing around the globe.
“Through his experience and impressive successes, Marco will definitely transmit his knowledge to our players and contribute to raising the levels of our Malta Beach Soccer National Team. We wish him and the team all the very best when representing our country”, Vassallo concluded.
Meanwhile, following the appointment of Marco Casarsa as the new Malta Beach Soccer coach, the new-look squad will start its preparation for the Euro Beach Soccer League Division B scheduled for end of July in Moldova.
Already lined up ahead of this international commitment are four training camps in Pretty Bay in Birżebbuġa.
The players selected in Mr. Casarsa’s first call-up are due to convene for the first camp by the end of this week, with two more training camps always at the same venue scheduled for later on this month.
