Floriana FC opened their transfer campaign with the signing of twenty seven year old central midfielder Dunstan Vella from Hibernians.

A product of the Pieta’ Hotspurs nursery, Vella joined Hibernians at the age of fifteen. With the Paolites, he made his Premier League debut in season 2012/13. He won three championships with Hibernians and the Super Cup last December, ironically in the final against Floriana.

Vella also played for the Under-21 and senior national team.
