Mqabba move fourth in Group A of the IZIBET Amateur League thanks to a 2-0 win over Rabat Ajax in a direct clash between two teams who were sharing sixth place at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
For Mqabba, this was the fifth win in six matches.
Isaac Galea put Mqabba ahead on the 6th minute and five minutes in added time, Karlo Ghigo doubled the score.
Mtarfa lead the way with 47 points, followed by Birzebbuga on 37, Qrendi 35, Mqabba 31, Xghajra 30, Mellieha 29, Rabat 28, Pembroke 26, Sta. Venera 20, Kalkara 15, Siggiewi 11 and Mdina 1.
