La Playa de Arena are on top of the Nestlé Ice Cream Beach Soccer standings after getting positive results in the first two matches.

In their first game, they defeated champions Ta’ Xbiex 5-4,

Daryl Micallef scored a hat trick for the winners with Andre Joe Cutajar and Sheldon Mizzi scoring the other two goals. Saturday Nanapere notched a brace for Ta’ Xbiex with Giovanni Galea scoring another goal with their other goal being an own goal.

La Playa de Arena then went on to beat Hamrun 5-4 after the penalty shoot-out. Lithuanian player Mantas Makutunivicius scored a brace with Karl Caruana and Daryl Micallef scored a goal each.

David Emmanuel Garba notched a hat-trick for Ħamrun with Nezar Fawzi Abouhaisa scoring the other goal for his team.

In the penalty shoot-out La Playa de Arena who won 4-3.

In their first game, Hamrun claimed victory as they beat Sliema 5-4. Nezar Fawzi Abouhaisa and David Emmanuel Garba scored two goals each with Weverton Gomes adding another.

In another match, Naxxar Lions completely dominated the match against Sliema, winning 7-0 courtesy of a Nicholas Schembri hat-trick and two goals each by JP Zammit and Kurt Borg.
