Sliema Wanderers continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Malta international midfielder Steve Pisani.

A product of San Gwann, Pisani moved to Hibernians on loan in 2010, moving to the Paolites on a definite transfer the following season. He spent the latter part of season 2012/13 and season 2013/14 on loan with Floriana, eventually moving to the club in 2014. Pisani left the Greens to join Balzan in January 2019 but in January 2021, he signed for Gzira United where he spent two and a half years. Last summer, he moved to Santa Lucia.

The Wanderers had earlier signed Cain Attard and Adam Magri Overend.
