Xewkija Tigers Youth Nursery is currently accepting applications for prospective qualified coaches to join our nursery for the 2012/13 season.

Xewkija Tigers won the BOV GFA Cup 2011/2012 after defeating Xaghra United 1-0 in the final on Sunday. John Camilleri scored the all-important goal for the Tigers.

For Xewkija, this was the fourth trophy this season after winning the First Division championship, the Independence Cup and the Jum il-Ħelsien Cup. Next Wednesday, they will be playing the Super Cup.

Xewkija Tigers secured the fifth Gozitan First Division championship in the history of the club following a 3-3 draw with Nadur Youngsters.

Needing just a point from the game, Xewkija managed to build a comfortable three-goal lead by the end of the first half. Nadur hit back, scoring three after the break. However this comeback was not enough as they failed to score the fourth goal which would have handed them the title.

The Gozo Under 15 team, which has just earned promotion from Section B to Section A of the Malta Youth FA recently had a wonderful opportunity to participate in an Easter Tournament in Turin. The Tournament was held in Nichelino between 7th and 12th April and featured A.C. Torino, G.S. Don Bosco Nichelino, U.S. San Giorgio and Gozo.

The group was hosted in Nichelino, Turin by G.S. Don Bosco – founded by the late Fr. Joe Galea of Fontana, Gozo while the Nichelino Local Council ensured that everything went on smoothly without any hitch.The Gozitan Group also had Cultural tours to Turin City Centre, Milan and visits to Sports venues of Juventus Stadium and Bardonecchia / Sestriere Olympic Village.

Players who play for the Gozo Under-15 team will have the opportunity to participate in an Easter Tournament held in Turin, Italy.

This Easter Tournament for boys born in years 1998 and 1997 (categoria Giovanissimi) will see the participation of A.C. Torino , G.S. Don Bosco Nichelino, Gozo Under-15 and other teams and will be held at Nichelino, Torino between the 7th and 12th April.
