Hibernians continued to strengthen their squad by taking on board once again Malta international midfielder Clayton Failla.

A product of St. Patrick, Failla joined the Paolites mid-way through season 2004/05 with whom he won the championship in 2008/09. At the end of that Premier League campaign, Failla was also voted MFA Footballer of the Year. However with his contract with Hibernians expiring at the end of that season, he moved to Sliema Wanderers.

Hibernians have already signed four new foreign players – Brazilians Diego Douglas Balbinot, Marcelo Mariano Dias, Edison Luis Dos Santos and Rodolfo Dos Santos Soares.
