Former Rabat Ajax goalkeeper Pavle Velimirovic is being investigated after allegedly betting on at least five Premier League matches, including two of his own club.

His betting patterns were flagged by the UK Gambling Commission and the matter was reported to UEFA by The FA with the European body informing the Malta Football Association.

Velimirovic admitted to these charges saying he was unaware that betting on your own club or even on the same competition went against regulations. He has now been suspended temporarily until the conclusion of investigations.
