The Youth Football Association is close to reaching an agreement with APS Bank over the main sponsorship of the Under-15 and Under-17 Leagues for seasons 2014/15 to 2016/17. This emerged from a series of discussions between the two parties which were held at the APS Bank Head Office in Swatar.
In a statement, the association said it was proud that a leading bank in Malta like APS was showing faith in the association and the nurseries. On its part, the Bank is determined to keep supporting youths through football.
Youth FA president Fr Hilary Tagliafero, General Secretary Joe Micallef and Treasurer Alfred Cacciottolo represented the Youth FA while Human Resource Manager Peter Gatt, Marketing Manager Patrick Aquilina and Jeremy Vassallo from the Marketing Department were representing APS Bank.
The successful conclusion of these discussions would mean that the cooperation between the Youth FA and APS Bank would span twelve years.
Fr. Hilary said that for the coming three years, nurseries would benefit from subsidies and money saved could be re-invested by the nurseries themselves to improe the level of organisation – administrative, technical and infrastractural.
The sponsorship agreement is expected to be signed towards the end of January 2015.
