Calleja Cremona joins Floriana on a three-year deal

Malta Under-21 international goalkeeper Matthew Calleja Cremona signed a three-year deal with Floriana after joining the club from Pembroke Athleta on loan in January.

Calleja Cremona was playing on a regular basis with Pembroke Athleta in Division 1 before moving to Floriana toward the end of the month, making his debut with the Greens in the game against Tarxien.

Meanwhile Floriana will have a new coach next season after Giovanni Tedesco announced that he was leaving the club. Tedesco had joined the Greens towards the end of season 2013/14, enabling them to finish at the top of the Relegation Pool. This season, Floriana finished in fifth place.

Assistant coach Accursio Sclafani and physical trainer Antonio Romagnolo have also left the club.
