Valletta FC signed 23-year old Ghanian central midfielder James Arthur.

Arthur played for Charity Stars in Ghana before moving to Portugal to join FC Porto, playing for their youths side. Then he moved to AR Sao Martinho where he had a short spell before joining Gil Vicente. He spent the last two years with AD Fafe.

Valletta, who have confirmed Antonio Jose Cardoso Mendes as coach, had earlier signed Alessandro Guarnone, Michele Sansone and Clive Gauci. On the other hand, Ryan Fenech, Leandro Aguirre, Santiago Malano, Matteo Piciollo, Miguel Angel Alba and Wellington de Oliveira are no longer with the club.
