Mosta moved fifth in the BOV Premier League as they registered a second consecutive win, defeating Zebbug Rangers 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.
The Blues join Gudja United on the 20-point mark, two points behind third-placed Birkirkara and Gzira and one ahead of Floriana. Zebbug, on the other hand, remain third from bottom, two points ahead of Santa Lucia and three ahead of Pieta’ Hotspurs.
Following a goalless first half, Mosta took the lead on the 65th when off a Clayton Failla freekick from the right, Tyrone Farrugia headed the ball home past goalkeeper Jamie Azzopardi.
Four minutes in added time, the Blues doubled the score when off a cross by Gianluca Sciberras, Christ Ememe slotted the ball past the Zebbug goalkeeper.
