Upgraded facilities at Fgura United Ground inagurated

Investment at the sports facilities of the Fgura United Football Club continues as the club strives to offer the best environment to all those making use of them, in particular the hundreds of children who, every day, are not only given training in football but are also help them improve their social skills.

The inauguration of these works was done by Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment of Malta Byron Camilleri and Malta FA President Bjorn Vassallo, together with Fgura United FC President Larkin Bonnici and the members of the committee on Sunday.

Apart from the senior team, Fgura United have a nursery that attracts a large number of children and young people, who participate in football training and competitions, as well as in social and extra-curricular initiatives that are organised by the club.

Minister Byron Camilleri spoke about how the social aspect stands out at Fgura United with a strong sense of family. Minister Camilleri said that beyond the results in competitions, Fgura United should continue to strengthen the structures that have been built in recent years so that the facilities continue to welcome so many children and young people who share together the most beautiful time of their life, while also forming their character.

Bjorn Vassallo congratulated Fgura United for the commitment shown to keep a club alive, which offers the best sports facilities, while even continuing to be innovative in its ideas, not only in football. Vassallo added that this has become a trademark of Fgura United, adding that these values should continue to shape the work of so many volunteers who work every day at the club. He concluded by saying that the Malta Football Association will continue to support Fgura United FC and the rest of the other football clubs so that everyone has the chance to play and grow in football.

Fgura United President Larkin Bonnici recognized the commitment of so many volunteers who work daily at the club. Bonnici explained how this work stands out when the sacrifices translate into projects from which society benefits.

He added that the improvements in the sports facilities of the club are a link in the chain of works carried out at Fgura United FC. The social initiatives continue to stand out, such as the marathons organized by the club for philanthropic purposes, as well as the partnership with voluntary associations helping the club remain accessible to everyone.
