Luxol St Andrew’s won match 1 of the Enemed Futsal League play-offs final as they beat University of Malta ACJ Group 4-1.

Gabriel Dobre’s boys had a perfect first half as they scored four goals to practically assure themselves of the victory.

On their part, University tried to attack but found Luxol’s defence alert with goalkeeper Clint Mifsud performing a string of decisive saves.

An own goal by Melvin Borg put Luxol in the lead and goal by Everton Veve, Andre Ciancio and Andy Mangion enabled them to take a 4-0 lead by the end of the first half.

In the second half, Leo Muscat reduced the scoring margin for University of Malta ACJ Group.

The two sides will meet again on Friday for the second final and if Luxol, win they will be declared champions for this season.
