Sheffield Wednesday coaches lead training sessions at Qormi nursery

The Qormi Youth Nursery held a number of training sessions under the guidance of coach Marcus Brameld and goalkeepers’ coach Rob Poulter from Sheffield Wednesday between October 30 and November 4. Besides sessions for the Qormi Youth Nursery players, another one was held for other children who are not members of the nursery.
During the final presentation, in which certificates and mementos were presented to all those attending these sessions, nursery president Victor Camilleri thanked Brameld and Poulter for accepting the nursery’s invitation and said that these sessions were definitely of great benefit for the children and also for the nursery coaches who had the opportunity to share their ideas with the English coaches. He thanked all those who made this visit possible and especially the committees of Qormi Football Club and Qormi Youth Nursery.
Marcus Brameld and Rob Poulter thanked the Qormi Youth Nursery for their hospitality and announced that they are looking forward towards more collaboration between Qormi Football Club and Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. They also spoke about how the level of the game could improve. Qormi Youth Nursery head coach Edward Micallef said it was f great honour for him and the other coaches in the nursery to work hand in hand with two professional coaches and said that the committee had worked hard to make this visit a reality.
Also present were Labour MPs Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and Roderick Galdes and mayor Jesmond Aquilina. Aquilina presented a financial contribution as part of an agreement with sports nurseries in Qormi. 
Finally Easysell KIA Malta Limited general manager John Zammit said the company will continue supporting such initiatives by sports clubs in Qormi.
