As part of its coaching education and continued development the Malta FA is pursuing an ongoing programme of various courses intended to raise the standard of coaching in our country.
To this effect the MFA Technical Centre has just started a UEFA ‘B’ course which will be held over eight modules from October 2012 to May 2013. The first session was held during the weekend between the 5th and 7th October.
There are 28 participants for this course who come from various clubs and nurseries. These coaches have been divided into four different groups. They will have theory and practical lectures in methodology of coaching, conditional training, physiology, psychology, laws of the game and other coaching practices in the modern game.
At the end of the course they are due to undergo a theoretical and practical exam to establish their level before acquiring their UEFA ‘B’ certificate.
