Four Premier League players suspended

Four Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following last weekend’s matches.

Ryan Grech (Naxxar) was banned for two matches while Enrico Pepe and Antonio Monticelli (Floriana) and Ebiabowei Baker (Tarxien) were suspended for one match.

Grech misses the game against Sliema and the first game from the third round, Monticelli and Pepe are ruled out of the clash with Balzan while Baker skips the game against St. Andrews.

In Division 1, Andre Farrugia (Fgura), George Chircop and Jaisen Clifford (Gudja), Glenn Azzopardi (Hamrun), Karl Cutajar (Mqabba), Karl Micallef (Pieta), Stacey Vella and Jesmar Briffa (San Gwann), Keith Vella and Kieron Grima (Zebbug) were all banned for one match. Terence Scerri (Senglea) was handed a two-match ban. San Gwann official Raymond Colombo was also suspended for two matches while St. George’s official Josef Camilleri was suspended for one.

Glenn Magri (Mellieha), Anthony Bonello (Zabbar) and Antoine Barbara (Zejtun) were suspended for three matches in Division 2 while Damon Grima and Gary Caruana (Birzebbuga), Keith Fedele and Mauro Busuttil (Gharghur), Joshua Galea (Kirkop), Lydon Micallef and Ryan Zammit (Mellieha), Joseph Paul Zammit (Mgarr), Leone Camilleri (Qrendi), Evair Grech (Zabbar), Richard Galea, Ryan Farrugia and Julian Briffa (Zurrieq) were banned for one match. Sirens team manager Joseph Agius was suspended for two matches.

Joseph Junior Onomuju (Marsaskala) was banned for three matches in Division 3 while Victor Fiteni (Kalkara), Danijel Vasic (St. Venera) and Giuseppe Barone (Ta’ Xbiex) were banned for one match. Mtarfa kit manager Charles Sammut was banned for three matches.
