Kerċem Ajax’s Andrea Debrincat is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for January 2020.

24 year old Debrincat joined Kerċem during the 2018/2019 from Victoria Hotspurs where he formed part of the team that won the BOV GFA League for two consecutive seasons.

Andrea’s football career finds its roots with the Oratory Youths nursery where he distinguished himself as a prolific striker and practically won all available honours at youth level. Since joining Kerċem, Debrincat has exhibited a higher level of confidence in his playing and is among the top Gozitan scorers in the league.

Kercem Ajax two wins during the month of January were essential for them to distance themselves from the relegation zone. Debrincat scored two very important goals in Kercem’s 3-2 win over Ghajnsielem and had a very positive game in their 2-0 win over Xaghra. He also scored a goal in their loss to Victoria Hotspurs.

Andrea was presented with the BOV GFA Player of the Month trophy for January 2020 by Horace Laudi, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta. The player chose Fondazzjoni Arka to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
