Birkirkara were declared BOV Premier League Champions 2012/13 after they came back from one goal down to beat Hibernians 3-1 in the Championship Decider after both had ended their commitments on level points.
Hibernians showed greater determination during the first half, taking a deserved lead but after the break, it was different story as the Stripes were a transformed side to score the goals which handed them the fourth title in the history of the club.

The BOV Premier League title will be decided this evening as Birkirkara and Hibernians cross swords in a championship decider at the National Stadium, kick-off at 18:00.
A decider to determine the champions of the BOV Premier League is necessary as Hibernians took the three points they needed to end their commitments on level points with Birkirkara as they defeated rivals Valletta 2-1.
A goal by Harun Shola Shodiya late in the game enabled Birkirkara to collect the three points in a narrow win over ten-man Tarxien Rainbows.

The Malta Football Association announced that following decisions by the Board of Control and Discipline, Hamrun Spartans and Floriana had one point and two points deducted.
