Draws for UEFA Regions’ Cup 2018/19

The Maltese representative in the UEFA Regions’ Cup 2018/19 will be playing in the Intermediate Round along with Germany, Serbia and the second best runner-up from the Preliminary Round after the draw for the Preliminary Round and Intermediate Round were held on Wednesday in Nyon.

In all cases national qualifiers will be held to decide the representatives for each association, apart from San Marino and Malta.

In the first edition in 1999, Malta was represented by a Gozo selection and following six consecutive participations by a Malta amateur national team, Malta was represented once again by Gozo in 2012, 2014 and 2016.

Group A: Wales, Greece, FYR Macedonia, Sweden
Group B: Romania, Slovenia, Georgia, Scotland
Group C: Kazakhstan, Israel, Lithuania, Estonia
• Group winners and two best runners-up progress to the intermediate round.

Intermediate round draw
Group 1: Russia, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Winner preliminary round Group A
Group 2: Republic of Ireland, England, Slovakia, Winner preliminary round Group B
Group 3: Croatia, France, Latvia, Winner preliminary round Group C
Group 4: Turkey, Bulgaria, Belarus, Preliminary round best runner-up
Group 5: Germany, Serbia, Malta Preliminary round second best runner-up
Group 6: Spain, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Finland
Group 7: Hungary, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, San Marino
Group 8: Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Moldova

The eight group winners of the intermediate round will qualify for the final tournament. In principle, the finals will take place in the last two weeks of June 2019, hosted by one of the teams that qualify.
